Terms of Service

What this service does
Hopcheck is a URL redirect-chain inspector. It follows the redirects from a submitted URL one hop at a time and reports each step. It does not crawl destinations, store data, or send email.
Acceptance
By using Hopcheck, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Use of the service
You agree to use Hopcheck only to inspect URLs you own or have permission to inspect. You may not use the service to probe, scan, or enumerate infrastructure without authorisation.
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Redirect traces depend on the behaviour of external servers and network conditions; results may not reflect the user's own experience.
No accounts
Hopcheck does not have user accounts. There is no login, no registration, and no stored data associated with any person.
Billing (Pro plan)
The Pro plan is not yet available. The following terms describe the billing arrangements that will apply when Pro launches. No payments are being processed today, and no billing relationship exists until Pro is released.
What you are buying. A Pro subscription gives you access to the Pro features listed on the pricing page — API access, bulk URL submission, custom user-agent headers, and extended hop limits. The subscription covers one person or automated workflow using a single API key.
Price and billing period. The Pro plan costs $5 per month (the "Subscription Fee"), billed monthly in advance. The first charge occurs when you subscribe. Each subsequent charge occurs on the same calendar day each month. If that day does not exist in a given month, the charge occurs on the last day of that month.
Failed payments. If a monthly charge is declined — whether because the card has expired, insufficient funds, or a block by the issuing bank — Hopcheck will retry the charge up to three more times over the following 10 days (approximately one retry every 3 days). During this retry period, Pro access continues. If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and Pro access is revoked at the end of the current billing period. No further charges are attempted after cancellation.
Refunds. Because the service is provided as-is and Pro access can be tested during the demo period, all subscription charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer-protection law. There are no partial-month refunds for cancellations made mid-cycle. If Hopcheck is unable to provide the service for a sustained period (more than 72 consecutive hours of downtime affecting Pro features), a pro-rata credit for the downtime may be granted at the operator's discretion.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No further charges are made after cancellation. There is no penalty for cancelling.
Price changes. If the Subscription Fee changes, existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Hopcheck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
No jurisdiction has been designated. The operator must supply the governing law and jurisdiction before this clause is effective.
Contact
No legal entity has been registered. The operator must supply a contact address and company details before this section can designate a point of contact.
